DIY Fertility Bath

One of the most important tools for fertility is deep relaxation and an experience of energy flow. How do we achieve this state of being as the busy, excitable modern women that we are? Regular massage, acupuncture, a healthy diet, exercise and rest are all key factors in maintaining a healthy equilibrium and hormonal balance.

Beyond that, there are many things you can do for yourself to support healthy hormones, a miraculously calm state of mind, and to foster space in your heart to care for yourself and conceive a little bundle.

I recommend this DIY Fertility Bath at least twice a week. You can continue this bath through your early pregnancy, unless you have specifically been instructed not to do so by your personal physician. The oils in this bath are soothing, balancing, and beneficial for you mind, body and spirit, as well as that of your developing baby.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 5 drops lavender essential oil
  • 2 drops Joy essential oil blend
  • 2 drops peppermint essential oil blend
  • 1 cup epsom salts or sea salt
  • 2 TBSP coconut oil
  • Additional options (*Note 2)

Replace 2 drops peppermint essential oil with

  • 3 drops ROSE* essential oil
  • 2 drops Orange essential oil

DIY Fertility Bath

HOW TO PREPARE:

  1. Run warm bath, adding coconut oil and salts of your choice early on.
  2. When bath is full, turn off water and add essential oils drops on top of the water’s surface.
  3. Climb in and luxuriate! Enjoy this time for yourself and your body. Relax, have some quiet music on; maybe add a few candles to the room for soft lighting.
  4. Be sure to hydrate before and after, as bathing in salts can make you a little bit thirsty!
